Aufbiks:Hi! I am also wondering if adventure leatt brace fits, 661 Pro bravo fullface helmet? Cheers
DarrenInVancouver:Thanks - I just want to be sure because I believe a typical DOT rated motocross helmet is slightly bigger/ bulkier than a typical mountain bike helmet. I look forward to your answer.
DarrenInVancouver:I have a mountain bike helmet that does NOT meet "DOT" or "SNELL" standards. It is the GIRO "Remedy" helmet (a fiberglass shell with an EVA-lined chinbar, weighing 1,050 grams). Although this is a full-face helmet, it is only designed to meet the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission's (CPSC) safety standard for BICYCLE helmets. Is this helmet compatible with the Leatt Adventure brace, or will I have to replace it with a larger/bulkier DOT/ SNELL certified 'motocross' helmet in order for the brace to FULLY protect my neck?
Unfortunately, Leatt Corporation cannot endorse third party products.
Thank you for your question, the Leatt Corporation will respond as soon as possible.

Leatt is currently reviewing all mountain bike full-face helmets and their compatibility with our neck braces, the Giro Remedy helmet has still to be tested and reviewed, so we unfortunately cannot endorse its use.

Leatt is currently reviewing all mountain bike full-face helmets with there compatibility with our neck braces, While the 661 bravo helmet has been reviewed and is compatible with our braces, we unfortunately can still not endorse its use.
Beefheart:My son is heavily into DH mountain biking and I'm keen for him to have the best possible protection and I'm convinced this should include a Leatt brace. My concern, however, is that, judging by this forum, Leatt customer support has some way to go to match the quality of the product. There seem to be a lot of posts where the Moderator responds with 'Thank you for your question, the Leatt Corporation will respond as soon as possible.' and then the thread dies. Specifically, DarreninVancouver had asked about compatibility with the Giro Remedy helmet on 22nd May and hasn't had a reply to date. It's important to me because my son also uses a Remedy and I'm convinced that a brace with an unsuitable helmet is potentially more dangerous (all to do with leverage points) than no brace at all. I'd be most grateful for an expedited reply. Thank you.
